We went there to have late dinner on a Friday. It was pretty full. We had little hard time to find dishes with no meat and mostly fishes as their most popular dishes had either meat or meat broth. The waitress helped us to choose the dishes. We ordered 1 appetizer Takoyaki (octopus), and 2 main dishes Ebidon (rice with fried shrimp) and everything set B ( shrimp, fish and chicken). Altogether the amount was little more for us. The curry sauce with the Everything set B was really very tasty. Other two items were good too except the decorative flakes they used on top of the Ebidon and Takoyaki. There are not much other options other than the tofu. The environment is good and so the service. Probably will go back to try other items.

I've driven by this place countless times, and we finally decided to give it a shot today. The place was bigger than expected! They should really post a picture of their interior, as I thought it was a take out centric place! The food was amazing, came out pretty quick, and was well priced considering how much food they give you. The staff seemed nice and attentive. They also offer tofu options for vegetarians which is nice. I'll definitely be returning! It'd be nice to see something like green tea offered at this location!

Staff is so kind to explain the different items on the menu, we were surprised and didnt expect it to have so much serving in one bowl. definitely a steal, appetizers are amazing and please try the cheesy katsus!

Portion sizes are HUGE—each dish came with two generous pieces of meat! This not only made it great value for money but also ensured we all left feeling extremely satisfied. We ordered Buldon, Corn Cheese, Carbonara Katsu, Everything Set, Curry Katsu, Cheese Stick Katsu, and Buckwheat Noodles. Overall, everything was super tasty, and the service was amazing! The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and more. I highly recommend Brown Donkatsu to anyone in Waterloo looking for a fantastic meal. We can’t wait to come back and try more dishes!

The food was amazing! I ordered the Combo Chicken Katsu and Chicken Katsu — both were super crispy and delicious. The portions were huge and very satisfying.

Love this place! Very affordable for the huge portion size I get. Great options. Only odd experience here was in the summer. My friends and I sat near the fans in the back and an employee’s farts would get blown in our faces everytime they walked by.

The server was the kindest person and let us dine even 35 minutes before closing and still didn’t rush us. The food is the best!! prices are high because portions are MASSIVE — 1 plate comfortably feeds 2-3. Highly recommend this place!!

Brown Donkatsu is a Korean restaurant that specializes in a breaded fried pork cutlet originating from Seoul, Korea. The food is delicious and fresh, the pork cutlet was crispy on the outside, very tender and juicy on the inside. The signature brown sauce goes well with the pork, it is tangy with a slight tomato taste. Portions are quite large and easily shareable.
